Crumbl CopyCat

by Breah Dewberry

As the season changes to fall and as the temperature slowly lowers, the time people spend outside also begins to decrease. Whether you're stuck inside on a rainy day or it's just not warm enough for your favorite activities, baking is the perfect way to cure your boredom.

If you’re anything like me, you can only successfully bake the easy recipes. My favorite is this pink sugar Crumbl Cookie copycat recipe.

The cookie calls for:

  • 1 cup salted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp almond extract

  • 2 tsp baking powder

The icing on top includes:

  • ½ cup softened salted butter

  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar

  • 1-3 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp almond extract

  • Pink food coloring optional

While your oven preheats to 350°, mix the butter and sugar with a hand mixer until it's light and fluffy. Then add in your eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. To finish the cookie dough, add and combine the flour and baking powder. Roll your cookies into balls with your hands. Once they’re the size of your liking, flatten them with the bottom of a glass. Depending on the size of the cookie, bake for 9-11 minutes, or until they are no longer glossy.

When your cookies start to cool and you're ready to make the famous icing, grab a bowl and cream the butter until it is smooth. Begin to slowly add powdered sugar, almond extract, and milk. Once all the ingredients are incorporated and smooth, add in your pink food coloring.

Before spreading your icing on the cookies, make sure the cookies are nice and cool so that the icing won’t melt off.

I 10/10 recommend this recipe for every sweet tooth in the Laurel community!
