Sr Mitchell Badger

by Talia Cartwright

Mitchell Badger is a friendly and trustworthy student here at Laurel High School.  He is a skilled member of the marching band and jazz band. He is also a part of FBLA where he is a 2-time regional champion of FBLA business calculations, NHS, and Track. Mitchell has joined the Laurel Theater Arts in their production of Oliver the Musical. This is his first musical where he is playing the main antagonist, Bill Sykes, the malicious criminal. He has also accomplished being on Homecoming court and being awarded the AP Scholar Award for scoring a 5 on AP Calculus AB, a 4 on AP Chemistry, and a 3 on AP Literature.

After high school, Mitchell plans to attend Kent State to pursue engineering as well as music. His words of wisdom are to “Get out of your head. You do this by going out of your comfort zone and getting off that dang phone.” and to “Find a new sport or instrument you can play. Go try some new food like sushi. Filling up your time is not wasting it.” Good luck to Mitchell in all of his future endeavors and on maintaining a great rest of the school year.
