Senior Ben Hennon

by Bridget Hartle

Senior, Benjamin Hennon is completing his last year of high school as he took the title of the homecoming king in September. He has been playing football for 8 years and has been lettered for 3 years in Varsity. He has also been lettered in track for 3 years as well. Ben has described himself as easy-going, disciplined, and hardworking.

Ben plans to go to a four year college to major in either exercise science or marketing while continuing his football career. As he is working hard in school and school activities he loves to hangout with his friends, collecting sports cards, weight lifting, and conditioning in his free time.

Ben’s biggest inspiration is his friend Elyse Lenhart who is a Senior at Shenango. She is fighting a battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He said he is inspired by her because even amid treatments and adversity she has maintained a positive attitude. She is attending school and also continues to play volleyball at a high level.

His biggest supporters are his parents and family. They always encourage him to work hard to achieve his goals. Ben's accomplishments that he is most proud of are achieving a 4.5 second 40 yard sprint and he is proud to be an honor roll student. Ben's advice to underclassmen is ¨Find a goal that you want to accomplish and work to the best of your ability to achieve it.” Keep up the amazing work, Ben, and we know you will have a successful future.
