Sr Moriah McBride

by Talia Cartwright

Moriah McBride is known as a very extroverted student here at Laurel and is a part of the Class of 2023. Moriah is a very well rounded student who is involved in many extracurricular activities. She is a member of National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council where she holds the position of Treasurer, Journalism Club serving as Treasurer, and is a Middle School House Helper. Moriah has also been a member of the Cheerleading squad for 10 years. Her and her team have won WPIALs her freshman and junior year. (Good luck to the Cheerleaders while they compete at the WPIALs competition this Saturday). Moriah also won the Spartan Spirit Award her sophomore year for cheer as well.

Outside of her numerous extracurricular activities, Moriah has been able to maintain High Honor Roll status during her entire high school academic career. Outside of school, she enjoys spending her time hanging out with her friends where they either go on Dunkin runs or shopping. She also likes to binge watch tv shows which her favorite show is Glee. After high school, Moriah plans to attend a 4-year college or university, and she is currently undecided on her major. Her advice for other students is to live by this quote by Jojo Siwa, “I don’t really care about what they say, imma come back like a boomerang.” Wishing Moriah the best of luck throughout the rest of her time here at Laurel, and good luck in all of her future endeavors.
