Senior Erika Price
by Talia Cartwright
Erika Price is an outstanding student at Laurel High School, class of 2023. She is not only easygoing but can also be described as humorous by her peers. She has accomplished the ability to maintain an honor roll status during her academic career throughout high school. Erika is involved in numerous activities outside of her academic career. She was treasurer for Future Business Leaders of America her junior year, and is currently holding the position of secretary her senior year. Erika is also a member of the Student Council here at Laurel. Her junior year she was serving as Secretary, and now she is serving as Vice President. Erika also spends her time participating on the Varsity Girls Basketball team at Laurel. In basketball, her and her team has accomplished making it to playoffs as well as states the past three years.
She is also excellent at balancing her academics, extracurriculars, being employed, and still spending quality time with friends and family. After high school, Erika plans on attending the US Air Force reserves. Once done with basic training and going to tech school for the Air Force, she wants to attend a college or university to get a degree in engineering. Her advice for other students is to “use your mistakes as lessons. try to learn from each and every situation where you feel like you have messed up and it’ll help you grow more than you could ever think. don’t dwell on the bad, focus on the good.” Wishing Erika the best of luck for the remainder of the school year and all of her future endeavors.
