Fundraising Success

by Talia Cartwright

Laurel’s Student Council participated in the annual American Cancer Society daffodils sale. Laurel ended up being the top seller in Lawrence County, collecting nearly $900 towards their Relay for Life team through the American Cancer Society. Matthew Hardisky managed to sell the most daffodils out of all the participating students and was awarded for his help towards the fundraiser. This past Saturday, Laurel’s Student Council arranged an Easter Egg Hunt to help fundraise money towards their team. The hunt turned out to be a huge success with nearly 90 kids participating. The students worked hard to achieve their goal towards fundraising and the participating children had a great time hunting for eggs and meeting with the Easter Bunny. Congratulations to Laurel’s Student Council for achieving their goal and raising money for the American Cancer Society.
