January SOTM

by Macey Cwynar

Senior, Maelee Hill, has been chosen as January’s Student of the Month. Maelee was asked to decorate the showcase with items that describe who she is and how she has made an impact at Laurel. In her showcase, she included pictures of friends and family. She also included several awards, certificates, and banners from her involvement in Court of Caring, Varsity Basketball, and FFA. In addition, Maelee is also a part of Conservation Club, National Honors Society, Varsity L Club, and Tech Ed Club. She also serves as Treasurer of the Class of 2025. When asked which teachers impacted her most, Maelee gave credit to Mrs. Kwiat, Mrs. Palmer, and Mr. Skerbetz. To future Spartans, Maelee encourages students to try new things and get involved in the community. After high school, she plans to attend either Penn State University or The University of Tennessee to become an Orthopedic PA. Congratulations, Maelee! Keep up the good work.
