Forbush Ice Cream

by Macey Cwynar

Did you know that the first official day of fall is September 23rd this year? As summer ends and fall approaches quickly, don’t forget to stop at Forbush’s ice cream stand for your yearly cone of Forbush’s most famous pumpkin custard! Forbush’s closes September 17th this year, so even if you don’t like pumpkin, be sure to stop by for some of the stands other most famous flavors such as chocolate cookie dough, black raspberry, butter pecan, and more! Not in the mood for an ice cream cone? The staff would be delighted to serve you a banana split, strawberry shortcake, slushies, and almost any kind of milkshake you can think of! JD Krepps, the owner of Forbush’s Ice Cream, still uses the same antique machinery to make his custard that started the business in 1950. With over 65 years of success, JD and his family have managed to perfect America’s most famous dessert. Forbush’s wishes you a happy fall and hopes to see you at the stand!
