New Math Teacher

As our students and faculty members begin to flood the school halls once again for the 2023- 2024 school year, we begin to notice some not so familiar faces. This year our Laurel school district has added many new members to the faculty and staff community, so let’s get to know one of them!

We welcome Ms. Madisyn Clark, our newest addition to the laurel math department. Ms. Clark has filled the role of Donald Rodgers, becoming the new AP Calculus, Calculus, Precalculus, and Statistics teacher. This year is Ms. Clark’s very first year of teaching students on her own, but some of our students may remember her from the beginning of last school year when she student tought for Mr Rodgers! This year Ms. Clark plans to grow with each and every one of us as a community. “I really love how Laurel has such a close knit community and I aspire to contribute to it”, she said. One of Ms. Clark’s biggest goals for our students is to help them grow not only academically but socially as well! Not only as a teacher, but as a spartan Madisyn Clark plans to make as much of an appearance as she can to many of our students' extracurricular activities, to get to really see what her students are passionate about outside of school. In order to become a spartan you have to be welcomed by the community, and that's exactly what our students did for Ms. Clark. “I was lucky enough to do my student teaching here, and during that time I was welcomed by more people than ever before,” she stated. As we welcome all of our new teachers  we must remember that just like our students, teachers do many things outside of the classroom. Ms. Clark enjoys spending time outside, whether it be camping, biking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, etc, but sometimes on those rainy days we need to stay in with our furry friends, and that's exactly what she does. She has 3 cats named Montana, Bozeman, and Gally, but that’s not the end of her family. Ms Clark, as some of our students may know, got engaged as of last year, and will be getting married in June, Congratulations!! We are so glad to have Ms. Madisyn Clark join our spartan family, as well as many others. We, the community, wish you the best of luck!
