Seneca Bailey

by Talia Cartwright

Just before her senior year ended, Seneca Bailey was nominated to be Student of the Month for the month of May. Seneca is a well rounded and kind student here at Laurel. She is involved in the Laurel Cheerleading Sideline and Competitive Spirit Team where she and her team have accomplished winning the WPIAL Championship both her freshman and junior year of high school. She is also a member of NHS where she currently serves as Vice President. She is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America, serving as Vice President and also winning first place in Marketing and attending the States competition her junior year of highschool. Seneca is also a part of the Entrepreneurship club where she serves as President.

In Seneca’s showcase, her favorite parts are the pictures she had decided to include. This is because of the sentimental value each picture represents with a certain memory throughout her high school career and even some pictures from elementary school. These pictures all remind her of nostalgic happy times with friends and family that she will cherish forever.

Seneca’s favorite memory of high school is hanging out with her favorite teacher, Mr. Skerbetz. She will miss the talks and jokes they shared, and the numerous memories created in his classroom. In the future she plans on attending Penn State University to get a four year degree. Seneca’s words of advice are “don't take everything too seriously just go with the flow and see what happens.” We wish Seneca the best of luck in attending Penn State next fall, as well as a great last few weeks of school.
