First Football Game 2023

by Kendra Ruperto

This past Friday night, your very own Laurel Spartans began their season strong with taking a win over the New Brighton Lions at Oak Hill Field. Leaving the night with a winning score of 37-6, they left no doubt in any Spartans’ mind that it is going to be a good season. Setting the tone early on in the night, Ben Hennon, a Spartan senior, took charge running in the first touchdown of the night for his fellow teammates. Following the touchdown, Nathan Hill made it into the endzone for an extra two points for the Laurel Spartans. Throughout the game, the boys continued to execute their plays, both on offense and defense, and never backed down. Looking forward to a good rest of the season boys!
