College in High School
by Ellena Perdue
For upcoming underclassmen, picking and choosing classes can be a difficult task. One thing to do to help benefit you if you are moving towards going to a college or university after highschool is to take as many College in High School courses as possible. Laurel offers several courses to take through the University of Pittsburgh, such as Intro to Psychology, Argument and Debate, American Politics, Intro to Film, Honors Physics II, Right Start to College, and others. Also, any AP level classes that you take can be taken for college credit through Seton Hill. If you are taking any of these classes for college credit, they will cost a fraction of the cost that they would at college. If one of these classes interests you but you aren’t going to college, don’t worry! You can take these classes and receive Laurel credit for them. If you have any other questions, see Mr. Pertile in the guidance office.
