Teacher Motivation
by Moriah McBride
Have you been struggling with motivation lately? I know I sure have. For a lot of people, getting back into the swing of things at school is a difficult task. We have gotten so accustomed to our laid back and lenient summer schedules, that finding the motivation to do our school work might not be the easiest thing to do. Just waking up and getting to school on time is difficult for many students, but your future depends on the present, so in order to succeed, you must take what time you have left in high school seriously. Motivation can stem from anything, such as a student's interests, their prior success in a specific subject, a desire to please parents or teachers, or simply by their own drive to succeed. Here are some quotes from some of our very own teachers here at Laurel High School to hopefully motivate many students at school.
“How you do one thing is how you do everything.” - Mrs. Discello
“The more you do the more you’ll learn.” -Mrs. Hites
“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.” -Mrs. Garner
“High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectations.” -Mrs Horodyski
“Don’t stop until you’re proud.” -Mrs Ernst
Thank you teachers for your advice! We appreciate all of you!
