Senior Johnna Hill

by Hannah Seifert

Hello Laurel Students, faculty, family and others!

This week for our senior spotlight we interviewed Johnna Hill. Johnna Hill is a 17 year old senior, who has been participating in many school activities since elementary school, and has always been full of school spirit. Johnna is involved in volleyball, basketball, and track. She is one of many very strong, focused students, and athletes we see at Laurel.

One of Johnna’s favorite athletic memories at LHS is when she served all twenty-five points in one volleyball game in her junior year! What an amazing achievement.

Since Johnna was little she will always claim that her favorite show to binge watch is the Backyardigans. Some things us kids never grow out of.

Johnna has also never grown out of how good her mother’s homemade meals are; so good that she eats one before every single game, as a pregame boost.

After high school, Johnna plans to attend a four year college, and hopefully pursue her volleyball career. When Johnna is not in school, or at sports practice, she loves to hangout with friends and go on walks with her dog, Max.

When it comes to getting hype before a sports game, Johnna’s go to music is any type of song by Youngboy. This year in your Laurel yearbook you can see Johnna, and her senior quote, which will be “Gotta keep my head above water, gotta make it through.” Look out for our next senior spotlight!
