Casacarones
by Abigail Richards
In Mexico, there is a well known tradition where children and their families throw Cascarones at each other. A cascarón is a decorated Easter egg that is hollowed out and filled with bright confetti and then sealed by placing the half removed from the egg shell back on top. On Thursday, April 14th,, right before Easter break, Señora (Mrs.) Ernst’s Spanish 4 class went outside to partake in this Spanish tradition. They had spent days prior to the event creating their perfect Cascarones!
