Cailyn Sheirer

by Chelsea Stewart

“Stand up for what's right even if it means standing alone.” This quote perfectly describes Cailyn Sheirer. Cailyn is described as a compassionate, brave, genuine, and most importantly, independent  woman. The outstanding student and athlete moved to Laurel at the beginning of her junior year, August 2020, from Shenango.  Upon moving to Laurel, she became a valued member of both the Spartanette Danceline, and the Students Against Destructive Decisions club, not to mention her outgoing personality quickly helped Cailyn make many friends at Laurel. She has maintained her job at Shenango Pizza Joes for over a year now, and is often complimented on her work ethic. Her future  plans consist of attending college for a Bachelor’s degree in forensic nursing. Her dream job was either a forensic scientist or a nurse, so she decided to pursue a career that involved both aspects. When asked for some advice Cailyn has for fellow students, she replied, “Never let anyone else try to influence your decisions in life or choose your path for you. Nobody knows what's best for you more than yourself, so listen to your gut.” We wish Cailyn the best of luck in her future endeavors and want to thank her for the positive impact her presence at Laurel has brought.
