Argument and Debate Class

Argument and Debate is taught by none other than Ms. Marsh. This is an elective English class and is offered as a Pitt credit as well. In this class, you’ll learn the history of debates and the different philosophers such as Aristotle and Socrates. During the class you’ll also participate in multiple debate styles such as Toulmin and Lincoln - Douglas debates. This is a great class to get out of your comfort zone when it come to speaking in front of your peers. Plus, the course will require you to critical think and be engaged on the debate topics. Ultimately, regardless of what work field you go into, public speaking will be part it!
