Veteran's Day

Veterans Day is an important holiday that falls on November 11th that originally marked the end of World War I. However, today this holiday is used to recognize all veterans who have served in the United States armed forces. Show your appreciation to veterans by donating to organizations, visiting memorials, or simply saying thank you to a known veteran. Don’t forget about the Lawrence County Veterans Day parade! The parade will take place in downtown New Castle at around 11 o’clock on November 9th. The Laurel band will also be performing in the parade and it is another great way to recognize veterans. You won’t want to miss it!
