Laurel Election

Laurel Jr/Sr High School held a mock election on November 5th, 2024. Laurel’s world cultures teacher, Mr. Sean DeBiase, set this mock election up for the students to put emphasis on the electoral college. He thought this was important because most American teenagers do not understand the importance of the electoral college. The students were given three options to choose from with no names. Option B (Donald Trump) won with 341 votes and all 207 electoral votes. On behalf of Mr. DeBiase, thank you to all of the students for voting and staff for making it such a good day. We hope to see you all exercise your right to vote when you are 18 years old!
