New Teacher Alert

Recently Laurel has hired several new employees for our 2023 school year, but this week we are focusing on Mr.DeBiase. Mr.D is a teacher who was hired this year to teach history for grades ranging from 8th-10th. He previously taught PA cyber, and was a student teacher at Laurel for a year. Mr.D has nothing but good things to say about teaching here at Laurel, stating that the experience so far has been amazing. While in middle school Mr.DeBiase lived in Europe, and fun fact, he was once attacked by a monkey! He recently moved to New Castle for his second year of teaching. He is a graduate from Slippery Rock University, where he received his degree in social studies. His advice to younger students would be to involve yourself as much as possible in things such as extracurricular activities, and club sports.
