Food Auction

by Abby Richards

Laurel’s annual Food Auction is right around the corner! Bring in your cash and coin and get ready to bid.

The Food Auction is an event that supports the Student Council’s UPMC Children’s Care Fund. All proceeds from this event go to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Teachers throughout the high school donate food and drink such as Mrs. H’s buffalo Chicken dip, Mrs. Hites’s cupcakes, and Mr. Holzhauser’s 12 cans of soda. When all donations are in by December 18th, students are allowed to come down to the auditorium during their A, B or C lunch period and bid on the items. The highest bidder wins what they put their money on and gets to enjoy their prize during the rest of their lunch period.

The Student Council encourages all students to participate and donate to a great cause on December 18th.
