Senior Wisdom
by Angel Milbert
As the school year has started to take off and our first round of progress reports has gone out already, it would be a good time to look up to our seniors for some advice about this school year. Senior Maddie Burgess is involved in almost everything offered here at Laurel. She is a 2 year member of the Spartanette danceline, a 4 year member of the cheer squad, a 2 year varsity softball member, and has been in every school musical since 7th grade. She is president of the Youth Alive club and an active member of the Conservation Club and Journalism Club. Maddie was asked a series of questions and here’s her advice:
What helps you study the most? “A good cup of coffee and some music”
What advice would you give the younger students? “Get involved in everything that’s offered and enjoy every minute of it because it’ll be gone before you know it.”
What would your favorite high school memory be? “Winning prom princess my junior year.”
What teacher do you look up to? “Definitely Mrs.Discello. She slays.”
With these pieces of advice in mind, make the most of your high school years. Ask questions, make friends, and have fun.
