Meatless Stew

If you haven't already heard of them, Meatless Stew is an outstanding band full of talent. Formed in January of 2020, the members include Jimmy Griffith, Chris Davis, David Johns, Jaden Boyer, and Adrian Cresce. The five of them decided to form their own band due to their desire to gain more practice outside of school and due to their love for music. As a band, their biggest influence would be the Beatles, Surf Rock, and a handful of other bands as well. The most challenging part while creating Meatless Stew is scheduling; outside of their band and school they each participate in different activities and are working jobs. Although with scheduling difficulties, the band overcomes these issues and are able to rehearse when they can to perform to the best of their abilities. When asked what was next for their band, Jimmy Griffith responded that he has been writing a few songs for Meatless Stew to perform and is planning on booking a performance in the near future. The band's favorite song to perform is Miserlou by Dick Dale, popularly known as the opening to the popular movie Pulp Fiction. Not only myself, but other students here at Laurel cannot wait to see what Meatless Stew has in store for us in the future.
